Once a year, Praxis Model gives one full restaurant feasibility study, free, to a GCC national opening a first restaurant, cafe or cloud kitchen in the Gulf. The winner receives exactly the study our clients pay for, and, with their consent, we tell the story of the opening.

Why we do this

Years ago, our founder Ralph Homer helped an Emirati woman open her first business, free of charge. It succeeded, and it taught him that the founders who most need the numbers are often the ones least able to pay for them. The Founders' Study turns that into a yearly practice: one founder, one real study, every year.

What the winner receives

The Study: the full financial model for one location, from the capital budget to five years of projections, payback and break-even.
The Thesis: the written reasoning behind every figure, ending in a direct verdict.
The Investor Edition: the presentation version for a bank, an investor or a landlord.
A walk-through meeting with Ralph Homer to go through the study line by line.

It is the same study clients pay USD 3,999 for at the founding price, delivered within seven days of the winner's completed questionnaire.

Who can apply

A national of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait or Oman.
Opening a first restaurant, cafe or cloud kitchen in the GCC.
With a concept and a target city. A site is welcome but not required. There is no funding or company-size test.

Who can apply for the Praxis Founders' Study?

A national of any GCC country (the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait or Oman) who is opening a first restaurant, cafe or cloud kitchen in the Gulf, and has a concept and a target city. There is no funding or company-size test.

What does the winner receive?

One full Praxis feasibility study for one location, the same study clients pay USD 3,999 for at the founding price: The Study, The Thesis and the Investor Edition, plus a walk-through meeting with the founder, Ralph Homer.

When are the dates?

Applications are open now and close on 31 January 2027. The winner is announced on 22 February 2027, Saudi Founding Day. The study is delivered within seven days of the winner's completed questionnaire.

How is the winner chosen?

By Ralph Homer, on the strength and readiness of the concept. There is one winner and no public vote.

What if the numbers say no?

Then the winner hears it. The study is real, and a clear no before the lease is signed is the most valuable thing a feasibility study can give.

Will my application be made public?

No. Applications that do not win stay confidential. The winner agrees that Praxis Model may name them and tell the story of the study and the opening; the study's figures are published only with the winner's written agreement.
